Ayan Ranjan (Ayushmann Khurrana) is a young IPS officer posted in the rural area of Lalgaon in the heartland of India. Committed to establish rule of law, Ayan Ranjan believes in dealing with lawbreakers with an iron hand until he investigates the matter of three missing girls that soon turns into a rape and murder crime. The film takes its inspiration from the 2014 Badaun gang rape and 2016 Una flogging incident.
